B.Ch.D (Stell 1990)
I was awarded my B.Ch.D from Stellenbosch University, South Africa, in June 1990, with distinctions in Periodontology and Clinical Dentistry.
After qualification, I completed my National Service in the SA Defence Force, before owning a private dental practice in Grahamstown, South Africa, from 1991 until 1997.
In 1997 I relocated to the UK and initially worked at a very busy NHS practice in Reigate, Surrey before joining Boots Dentalcare in 2001. This was my first venture into private dentistry, where I spent quality time with my patients and provided a gold standard of dentistry. Unfortunately, Boots Dentalcare ceased trading and I then worked as an associate at the Dental Rooms in Wimbledon for the following 15 years. It is a specialist-led, multidisciplinary practice, where I gained a lot of experience, improved my skills, and built a solid patient base, many of whom have remained my patients and friends for numerous years.
I am pleased to say I was fortunate enough to be introduced to the partners of Beverley Dental and subsequently offered a role at the practice. With 30 years of extensive dental experience in a range of different environments, cultures, and teams, I am excited to offer my services to this practice and provide excellent treatment to patients on their dental journey, in calm and friendly surroundings.
I stay abreast of the ever-changing and improving dental world to maintain and improve my skill set, for example recently undertaking Invisalign and Botox training as well as regular CPD training. With many years of experience, I am confident that I provide my patients with high-quality dentistry and the most appropriate dental and oral health care.
In my spare time, I am a keen golfer, gardener, wildlife enthusiast and family man.
