When a tooth is removed or there is a gap that needs to be filled, one of the options may be to have a bridge. A bridge attaches to one of the teeth either side of the space.

A bridge is a fixed aesthetic option to replace any missing teeth that you may have. Using the surrounding teeth, we can use the power of the most up to date adhesives to hold the bridge in place.

When placing an implant, we sometimes need to wait for bone to remodel into its new position. A bridge works as a fantastic space holder while we wait for an implant to be placed and works by sticking to the back of the teeth either side via little wings that are present on the side of the replacement tooth.

Frequently Asked Questions

What will a bridge look like?

Just like the teeth either side! We use the same ceramicist as for our crown work to ensure that the aesthetics of the bridge are matched and blend in with your smile.

How do I take care of a bridge?

Ensuring that you clean underneath a bridge is very important. It is vital to make sure that the teeth holding the bridge in are kept healthy!

How long will a bridge last?

A bridge, while not as long lasting as implants tend to be, can last very well if looked after.
